Kanye West’s presidential race has just received a death blow, at least in Illinois, where election officials say more than half of his submitted signatures are invalid … and that means he’s unsure the ballot.
TMZ broke history … several people rose up to oppose after Kanye submitted his petition to get the ballot in his home state. This triggered a review – by the National Elections Council – of all 3,128 signatures on its documents.
The tally has arrived and 1,928 have been declared invalid … leaving you far less than a thousand of the 2,500 needed to run for President on the state ballots. What we don’t know is what was wrong with the bad ones.
It could be any number of issues – fake names, fake addresses, unregistered Illinois voters – or even just an illegible signature.
The bottom line is Illinois will officially withdraw it on August 21, or it still has the option of graciously announcing its withdrawal.
Although Illinois is not considered a swing state in the presidential campaign, it is a blow to Kanye … not only because he is from Chicago, but he has simply boldly declared that his “goal is to win “.
Hell, he even displayed his 2020 vision board, which included number 46 … like the 46th President of the United States.
The road to the White House was already almost impossible for Kanye … but it got a little more difficult.
