Nas & Dr. Dre Collaboration Previewed In Footage Of Studio Session

Dr. Dre and Nas had a little heat in the safe.

Nas completed his latest project, King’s Disease last weekend. The rapper’s new project, in collaboration with Hit-Boy, was a surprising comeback after the Nasir and Lost Tapes Vol produced by Kanye West. 2 which came out last year. Hit-Boy has masterfully concocted a production that perfectly matches Nas’s aged voice and refined storytelling skills. With a tracklist filled with the next generation of rappers, from Lil Durk to Fivio Foreign, the most surprising collaboration was The Firm’s reunion song, “Full Circle” which featured a surprise verse from Dr. Dre.

Earlier this month, a photo of Nas and Dr Dre in the studio cooking was posted on the web, although it was not entirely clear what they were working on at the time. Some may have assumed it was “Full Circle”, but it looks like they still have some music they’ve been working on. Music industry vet Breyon Prescott shared footage from Dr Dre and Nas’s studio session earlier this month. While the song is playing and Nas regularly shakes his head, Dr. Dre sits at the boards with a thoughtful look on his face. Nas slams on this record, but it also looks like Dre is squeezed into a few bars as well. Check out the excerpt below.
